From warm water with lemon (+ginger and +turmeric if you're daring) first thing in the morning everyday to feasting on seasonal goods to consuming healthy proteins + fats—I'm here to help!

This week I'm talking ALL. THINGS. SELF-CARE.

Self-care is everything. 1,000,000,000,000,010%. When all is said and done, it's all about finding balance and ensuring that your presence, existence, and well-being is whole-heartedly taken care ofand you my friend, are the only one responsible. Carving out a little 'me time' everyday is crucial to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Implementing these daily habits into your everyday, I. REPEAT. E-V-E-R-Y-D-A-Y, routine will make you steps closer to a brighter, happier, and more fulfilled life. 


  • AFFIRMATION—if you don't tell yourself that YOU. ARE. ENOUGH. and that YOU. CAN. DO. IT. then who will? You have to be the one who strengthens and emphasizes the positivity that needs to flow through your beings to instill a healthy beautiful life. No one is perfect, but there is a higher power in saying daily affirmations, because there will be a day you look back and realize that you genuinely ARE enough and that you CAN do anything you put your mind to. Keep telling yourself that you are strong. You are worthy. You are beautiful, inside and out. You are full of life and creativity. You are kind. You are motivated. Your hard-work and energy is unmatched. You are you, that is you superpower.

  • GRATITUDEbe grateful. Act grateful. Show that you're grateful. Genuinely. Gratitude is one of the most powerful feelings and studies have shown that it reduces depression + regret, increases happiness, and supports a stronger immune system to allow better sleep. Life is a crazy beautiful adventure, be grateful for hat you have because there are SO. MANY. people wishing they had maybe even an ounce of what you do. What are you grateful for?

  • REAL BEAUTY SLEEPit's actually a thing. Promise. Put down the phone, stop scrolling, turn off the television, and hop into bed with no distractions in reaching distance. My dad always told me that nothing good happens after midnight and STILL, he couldn't be more right. You're not missing anything, but crucial time your body needs to recover. Sleep is when our body repairs itself. Sleep also promotes healthy antiaging for your entire body. The more healthy sleep, the better you will feel. 

  • EXERCISEget UP, get MOVING, get SWEATING. Let's friggen' go! The more active we are, the more we're increasing our body's circulation of nutrients within. YES. Focus on the feeling, not so much on the calorie count or weight loss. That all will follow. When you're physically active, your heart gets trained to beat slower and stronger, so it'll need less oxygen to function well + your arteries get springier. When you get up and get moving, your whole mind-set will respectively change for the better because exercise has been proven to improve certain aspects of cognitive thinking.

  • JUST BREATHEin through your nose, out through your mouth. Whether we think it our not, we all spend so much of our day rushing, taking short shallow breaths, with a million and four things racing through our minds that we must get done before the day is over. Deep breaths trigger a relaxation respond that will automatically reduce stress. Breathing is a major aspect of detoxification and removing waste from the body. When you take the time to breathe deep, do you feel how present you are in life? Try it.

  • HAVE INTENTIONSevery single morning. Jot down a few positive, healthy, and beautifying intentions for the day that enable you to stay on track to achieving your goals. Think of your intentions as an insightful task to hold you accountable to fulfill, accomplish, and support a beautiful life. Intentions such as; I will try a new vegetable today, I will cook one meal today, I will read for 30 minutes, I will exercise today, I will eat every color of the rainbow before the day ends, I will be open-minded today, or I will give someone a compliment today.

  • SURROUND YOURSELF WITH THE ONES WHO LIFT YOU UPtry not to ever lose sight of this. The feeling of loneliness can be more detrimental than you think. You're never alone. Regular interactions with individuals who support you, love you, and care for you have an unbelievable impact on your health and sanity. Our lives tend to get hectic, but don't underestimate the influence of a genuine connection with a loved one is to enhance hormone balance and actuation of the parasympathetic nervous system that is touched with regular supportive connections. Cherish those should that nourish your soul and help you flourish into the beautiful being that you're want to be.

  • DE-STRESS—are you stressed? I feel like I'm always stressed, whether I have a lot or a little to do, my mind is constantly racing. Stress has become too much of a very common factor in our everyday lives and WE. HAVE. TO. find ways to counteract it. Stress is aging. Stress is intoxicating. Stress is paralyzing. Find outlets where you can de-stress and get your mind back on track by exercising, reading, going for a drive blasting your favorite tunes, meditating, yoga, writing, social interactions, taking the dogs for a walk, drinking tea by the window, or any other habits that ignite your beauty from within.

  • WOO-SAH—be still. Create time within your day, everyday for 10 minutes, to simply sit quietly and release your thoughts. Just like I mentioned about deep breaths, inhale and exhale. Concentrate. Sincerely. Release every question, concern, tasks to accomplish, weary thoughts, and negative energy into the universe as it enters your mind. Focus. This will also aid in hormonal balance and promote calmness. Take time to remove yourself from the hustle and bustle in the world.

  • LOVE THY SELF—is way too underrated. It's a beautiful thing to love yourself. Your conscious mind is more powerful than you think. Take a moment and ask yourself what do you need each day and respond. Whether you need Justin's pbcups, fresh flowers, a massage, 30-minutes to read, a Cocokind facial—just choose something kind and thoughtful for yourself aside from the everyday routine that will increase overall happiness from within.
