DIY: Sleep Potion, Codie Style
Do you have trouble falling asleep? Is your mind usually racing before bed like mine?
Let a calming essential oil pillow spray solve these sleep issues, here's why:
Pillow spray can help you relax, manage those stress levels at night, and ease your mind. The trick to peaceful sleep is only 1 to 2 sprays before bed! My favorite mixture is lavender and cedar wood, let me tell you why. Lavender is a do it all essential oil. It's amazing for the skin and promotes a healthy mood as well as restful sleep! Cedar wood stimulates the limbic (emotional part of brain) as well as the pineal glad that release melatonin. I have noticed this little trick to be extremely helpful for me and lately I've been sleeping like a baby!
Here's what you need:
1 oz spray bottle
1/4 tsp epsom salt
5 drops Lavender
5 drops cedar wood
Epsom salt is needed because oil does not mix with water. Without the salt, the oil would just float at the top. If you do not have epsom salts on hand, you could try using witch hazel or vodka.
- Mix ingredients together
- Pour combined mixture into bottle
- Shake, shake, shake - shake it up!
- Ready, set, spray
