I always think to myself, "Hazl, why do you pay a solid $8 for a smoothie when Y O U can make your own with bomb add-ins?" Like, hello. Who even am I? A wheatgrass + maca berry smoothie on a Wednesday N E V E R hurt nobody! #EatBetterFeelBetter I mean, everyone looks at me crazy when I tell them that wheatgrass M U S T be something that you consume daily + just close your eyes and enjoy every single second of it. Quit being afraid of it, your insides will thank ya' later. For seriously, it's a game changer. Wheatgrass, maca + matcha powder are amongst my top "must consume" list on an E V E R Y day basis! These powders are a few of my *favorites as they boost your energy, stamina, and are so beautifully packed with nutrients upon nutrients! I really do feel so full of life + ready to rumble everyday once I've inhaled the smoothie or ice cream they're added into.
Here's a fun recipe to get you going early in the morning, happy hump day lovers!
I N G R E D I E N T S
- 1 cup Living Harvest Tempt unsweetened coconut hemp milk
- 1 teaspoon Navitas Naturals wheatgrass powder
- 1 tablespoon Essential Living Foods maca powder
- 2 frozen bananas
- ¼ cup frozen blackberries
- ¼ cup frozen strawberries
- 1 handful spinach
- 2 tablespoons flax seeds
- ½ avocado
T O P P I N G S: frozen blackberries, goji berries + organic coconut flakes!
D I R E C T I O N S
- Combine all ingredients + a few ice cubes in a NurtiBullet (or different type of blender) for about 30 seconds or until smooth.
