The Meaning Behind "Dad's Words"
To Hazl and I, family is everything. We are grateful to have been raised by two incredible, selfless parents. We have two brothers and an older sister and we are all extremely close. My mother and father have been married for over 20 years and they both play huge roles in our lives. Our mother is truly our best friend. We have a group chat on our cell phones, where we chatabout anything and everything all day long. Our father is our mentor, or in other words, our right-hand man. Whenever we need advice or inspiration, our father is always there to steer us in the right direction. Honestly, whenever we don't listen to our father something always seems to go wrong. (So listen to your fathers, it's so weird, but they know what's going to happen even before it happens.) Perhaps my sister and I are "blessed," (although I really don't like using that term) in a sense that we have a strong family unit behind us if nothing else. Having people in your life that always have your back and always wishing you the best is truly a blessing. We often say;"Family over everything," and it is exactly what we believe in. (We even have our own hashtag on Instagram, #Rollecrew, lol!) Furthermore, I have learned that many of my friends don't have relationships with their family like we do. Some of my girlfriends claim they have "daddy issues," while others never even met their father before. In other cases, their father is present but they just don't share a close relationship. I could not begin to imagine where I would be if it wasn't for my father, my first love, my mentor, and my friend. For this reason, Hazl and I wanted to share our father's inspirational words that he shares with us every day, with YOU. No matter if we had a bad day, relationship issues or just feeling down, our father has a way with words to give us hope and faith in love and life. Our mission is to inspire and help other women in any way that we can. We hope that our "Dad's Words" inspire and encourage you as they do for Hazl and I.
As our father always said as we were growing up, "Remember true beauty is what you reflect on the inside, not the outside."
