Kat's Beauty Picks of the Week!

katherine.jpg

Hey dolls!

I hope you're all E N J O Y I N G this beautiful Friday weather and the gorgeous color changes that the fall season brings because I know I am, that's for sure! I've been catching myself driving aimlessly down little neighborhoods to scope out the scenery and let me tell you, it's b r e a t h t a k i n g. So pretty, so peaceful and just so darn relaxing in every way imaginable.

With life happening + passing by so quickly, I've really been trying to appreciate the small things and live, laugh and love whole-heartedly. If that means taking a 15 minute (I just get too caught up in the moment and lose track of time) drive down a road I've always passed, but never actually turned down just to see a gorgeous fall scenery, C O U N T me in! Fall is one of the most beautiful times of the year and I'm taking it all in until all the leaves have fallen.

This week, on the beauty scene, I'm talking about all things hydrating + fresh that'll leave you with a flawless finish! Here are my favorite beauty picks this week! What are some of yours?! I love to hear what you dolls are using. Until next week beauties—xo, Kat!

Kat's Picks of the Week!

superstay

Maybelline’s *new Superstay Better Skin Foundation does not slack at ALL for being a drugstore buy, #impressive! It’s oil free, contains Actyl C (apparently a more durable form of vitamin C according to Maybelline), rocks a SPF 15 (which is a total plus to help prevent premature wrinkles), and claims to improve your skins appearance in just three weeks. Yes! This foundation feels so unbelievably lightweight + will give you a medium to full coverage. Typically, after applying this foundation and going about my day, it'll last about twelve hours for me—which is K I L L E R. Its only near the end of the day when I see my T-zone starting to get a little oily, but for the most part the foundation does the job well and covers every little imperfection I've had.

I’ve been using this foundation for a month now and I honestly can’t say I’ve seen an improvement in my skin like they "claimed" I would after three weeks, but it's also not any worse because of it either (thank the LORD!) my skin simply just stayed the same. You can find this foundation at TargetUlta or at any local drugstore like CVS or Walgreens!

simplemicellar

I’ve been using Simple Cleansing Micellar Water for quite some time now and I still fall in love with it every time I use it, as cliché as that may sound, I really do! It’s A M A Z I N G for sensitive skin and does not, I repeat, does N O T contain any harsh chemicals, artificial perfumes or dyes—but, on the bright side, does contain Vitamin B3 and C.

I use this product to take off my eye makeup as well as all wash my face just to ensure I'm removing A N Y T H I N G else that I may have left behind. Simple does in deed offer a solution that’s solely for eye makeup remover, but it's only offered in a 4.2 fl oz bottle—while (what I use) the Simple Cleanser, which does just as good of a job and offers more product, is offered in a 6.7 fl oz bottle. I choose the cleanser over the eye makeup remover because let's be real, I love getting more for my money + it's versatile and does more than just "one" job for me. I use this both product morning A N D night and it leaves my skin feeling fresh, hydrated, and squeaky clean without irritating my skin. It is simply amazing. Find this product here on their website or at here Target.

When Travelmate Sheet Mask Evian Mineral Water Spray are literally on my top 5 M U S T have with me at A L L times when I am traveling products list. When Hazl visited Boston for a couple days she was telling me about how her skin was drying out since arriving from Atlanta, the state to state weather change can be so harsh on our skin! While walking through the heart of Boston, I mentioned to her that when flying often, or just in general, there is very little moisture + recycled air that is  present within the planes thus most of the moisture you obtain already gets sucked out of your skin and your left with dehydrated skin, unfortunately!

Evian’s Mineral Water Spray is simply l i f e c h a n g i n g—it works great as a facial primer before putting on any facial serums, it 100% moisturizers, and is great to spray on your face throughout your travels as a quick little pick-me-up to replenish and brighten + liven up your skin should you feel it getting dry. Nonetheless, the When Travelmate Sheet Mask is incredible to use after your travels to replenish, rejuvenate, and bring your skin back to L I F E simply to ensure that you look your best once you’ve reached your destination! Find the When Travelmate Sheet Mask at Sephora, here + the Evian Mineral Water Spray at Sephora here.
