Little Baby Blu

Do you ever just cuddle up with family members and look at old pictures of you and your family and reminisce? Tonight I did just that and it was so special. I sat with my grandparents as they took out some old scrapbooks and I could not stop flipping through the pages. I looked at pictures of myself as a baby, my mother as a child, my grandmother as a young mother, and the list goes on. I love walking down memory lane.Honestly, looking at old pictures of myself made me realize how far I've come as a young woman. I mean it's crazy looking at your "younger you" with all the same features you have now, just a bit more aged. I always had huge blue eyes and I swear they seemed even bigger when I was a baby. My curly hair grew into a head full of crazy curls, and my personality then is almost identical as my grandmother explained as it is now. Watching yourself grow throughout the years is pretty magical. Some things I had no memory of, others I remembered like it was yesterday. I must say my favorite part was looking at images of my grandparents as young adults, raising my mom and aunts and uncle and how hot of a couple they were and still are. Listening to my grandparents reminisce and tell my stories was probably one of the best nights I've had in a while. The saying, "Time flies," is so true! Take time to reminisce and see how far you've come as an individual. Get to know your roots, your ancestry, and never stop listening. Seriously, every time I see my grandparents I learn something new. I love my family. We all go through ups and downs, and highs and lows but your family will always be there for you no matter what. I hope you all have a chance to take a walk down memory lane because trust me it's magical.

I always wonder, if you had the chance to tell your younger self something about life, what would it be?
